Honey Face Wash

Honey is a natural humectant, which means it helps your skin retain moisture. It’s antibacterial, which will help fight acne and reduce inflammation in the process.

Honey Face Wash

Mix together in a small bowl then apply to your face with a clean washcloth. Rinse off with warm water and follow with moisturizer if desired!

WaterRinse off with warm water.
Moisturizer(optional) Follow with moisturizer afterwards.

This natural face wash recipe combines the moisturizing and antibacterial properties of honey with the nourishing properties of olive oil, making it an affordable and effective option for fighting acne and reducing inflammation. Simply mix the ingredients together, apply to your face with a washcloth, rinse off, and follow with your favorite moisturizer.

Brown Sugar Scrub

If you’re looking to add some exfoliating action to your skincare routine, consider making a brown sugar scrub. Brown sugar is a gentle exfoliator that will remove dead skin cells without causing irritation or redness. The natural humectant properties of brown sugar can also help retain moisture in the skin, making it an effective anti-aging treatment as well as a moisturizer.

Brown sugar is inexpensive and easy to find at any supermarket in the baking aisle (or any health food store) with no added ingredients just pure goodness!

You can also use it on all skin types; just keep in mind that if you have sensitive skin, it’s best to test out the product on a small patch before slathering it all over your face.

Peppermint Coffee Scrub

Grind the coffee beans in a coffee grinder, or use a mortar and pestle.

Combine the ground beans with other ingredients (listed below) in a food processor until it becomes like a thick paste. If using a food processor, you may need to stop a few times and scrape down the sides of the bowl so that everything mixes evenly.

Shea Butter Overnight Mask

  • What is a mask?

As the name suggests, a mask is a type of skincare product that you apply to your face and then wait until it dries or sets. The purpose of a mask is to deliver ingredients deep into the dermis (the innermost layer of skin). This can help with issues such as dryness, redness and irritation.

  • What is shea butter?

Shea butter comes from the tree nuts of African Karite trees and has many benefits for your skin. It’s known for its ability to treat acne-prone skin and eczema by soothing inflammation caused by these conditions.

Shea butter also helps restore elasticity to the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles over time. If you suffer from dry patches on your face, shea butter will be beneficial because it deeply moisturizes while keeping oils at bay.

You can find shea butter in lotions or creams at stores such as Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s—or even make your own!

Sugar Lip Scrub

  • Start by mixing a cup of sugar with a tablespoon of olive oil.

Add in some drops of your preferred essential oil (I chose peppermint) and mix again until well combined. I also added dried lavender flowers, which smell great and look pretty, but you can leave them out if they’re not to your taste!

Apply the scrub liberally to your lips, gently rubbing it all over the surface area so that it gets into all those little crevices where dead skin cells collect and cause the dreaded “cracked lips” look that’s so common during winter months when we’re constantly chapping away at our frozen faces in an attempt to keep them from freezing shut entirely!

  2. Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and mix again.
  3. If desired, add in dried lavender flowers and mix.

This simple sugar lip scrub will leave your lips feeling soft and smooth. Customize the recipe by using your preferred brand of sugar and olive oil. Add in your favorite essential oils for additional scent and therapeutic benefits.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel is a natural moisturizer and can be used to soothe burns and other skin irritations. You can buy it in a bottle or you can make it at home by cutting open an aloe leaf and scraping out the inner gel. Make sure you don’t get any of the bitter inner pulp!
